As more organizations push toward the top of the Counter-Strike 2 scene, we’re seeing Tier 2 become more competitive than ever. For teams outside the top 20, the journey is grueling; qualifiers, online cups, and regional events fill their calendars as they chase LAN invites and Major appearances. In this increasingly stacked field, a handful of squads are standing out from the crowd with consistent results and high potential.
BetBoom Team
Roster: Boombl4, zorte, Ax1Le, S1ren, Magnojez
With names like Boombl4 and Ax1Le, it’s surprising to still see BetBoom classified in Tier 2. However, despite limited LAN exposure, only BLAST Bounty Season 1 so far—their core firepower makes them a top contender. If they stay on track in 2025, a Major qualification could be on the horizon.
B8 Esports
Roster: headtr1ck, alex666, npl, kensizor, esenthial
B8 continue to impress as a top Tier 2 squad, even after losing r1nkle to Ninjas in Pyjamas. Their 2024 runner-up finish at ESL Challenger Katowice marked a major highlight. Regularly competing in CCT tournaments, B8’s persistence is paying off as they slowly rise in the rankings.
BC.Game
Roster: jkaem, nexa, nawwk, CYPHER, pr1metapz
Rising from the BLEED lineup, BC.Game is making waves after joining a stable org. With multiple online titles under their belt, they’re climbing the Valve Regional Standings fast. LAN invites seem inevitable, making them one of the most promising Tier 2 teams heading into the rest of 2025.
OG
Roster: F1KU, spooke, Buzz, Chr1zN, nicoodoz
OG has had a rough run in CS, especially after the partner system was scrapped. But 2025’s rebuild, focused on Danish talent, looks promising. With solid firepower and growing chemistry, OG might finally be on the comeback path. For now, they’re still one of the top Tier 2 squads to watch.
PARIVISION
Roster: Qikert, Jame, TRAVIS, nota, BELCHONOKK
The addition of Major-winning AWPer Jame has boosted PARIVISION’s stock. With Qikert leading the charge, the team has already shown solid early results. If their current trajectory continues, we may see them making waves on the international stage before the year ends.
Fnatic
Roster: KRIMZ, blameF, fear, MATYS, Burmylov
Once a dominant force, Fnatic now fights to reestablish itself. The signings of blameF and fear haven’t yet brought the breakthrough they hoped for, but the talent is there. They’re grinding through every online event possible—trying to claw their way back to Tier 1 relevance.
These are the Tier 2 CS2 teams making the most noise right now—and with the right results, any one of them could break into the top tier by the end of 2025.
