It’s official, League of Legends is about to welcome back one of its most beloved skin lines: Spirit Blossom. Known for its ethereal visuals, anime-inspired art style, and deep thematic storytelling, Spirit Blossom has been a fan-favorite ever since its debut. Now, Riot Games is preparing to reintroduce this iconic collection with a new wave of skins set to release in Season 2. The first batch is expected to arrive on April 30, and it brings some surprises, including a splash of summer fun.
A New Direction: Variety Skins Begin with Pool Party Twitch
Before diving into the returning Spirit Blossom skins, Riot is launching something brand new called “Variety Skins.” These are individual skins released independently from a broader thematic line or as expansions of existing themes, meant to emphasize the uniqueness of specific champions rather than sticking to one cohesive event.
The first champion to receive a variety skin under this new approach is none other than Twitch, who’s trading his usual rat-infested chaos for beach vibes with the all-new Pool Party Twitch skin. This sunny surprise will be available as part of the premium version of the Season Pass, kicking off the new initiative Riot calls the “champion-first philosophy.” Expect more of these types of independent or thematic spin-off skins in the future.
Spirit Blossom Returns: Full Lineup of New Skins
Alongside Pool Party Twitch, several champions are stepping into the Spirit Realm with beautiful new Spirit Blossom skins. Riot has confirmed that this new wave will include a mix of store-available skins and premium rewards unlocked through the Battle Pass.
Here’s the full list of confirmed Spirit Blossom skins:
-
Legendary Spirit Blossom Ashe – 1820 RP
-
Legendary Spirit Blossom Irelia – 1820 RP
-
Spirit Blossom Zyra – 1350 RP
-
Spirit Blossom Varus – 1350 RP
-
Spirit Blossom Bard – 1350 RP
-
Spirit Blossom Ivern – Available in the paid Season Pass
-
Prestige Spirit Blossom Lux – Exclusive to the premium Season Pass
Each skin brings new animations, VFX, and splash art that fit seamlessly into the Spirit Blossom theme, highlighting elegance, mysticism, and a touch of folklore.
Upcoming Skins and Prestige Releases
Riot isn’t stopping there. Later in the season, a new Exalted skin for Morgana will debut, likely with mythic qualities or prestige-style visuals. In addition, Prestige skins are in the pipeline for both Zed, who will be featured in the Season Pass, and Aphelios, whose Prestige skin will be obtainable via the Mythic Shop.
With all this happening, it’s also highly likely that a launch skin will accompany the upcoming champion Yunara, Riot’s newly teased support set to hit the Rift in Season 2. This continues Riot’s tradition of releasing new champions alongside themed cosmetics to help introduce them into the League universe with style.
Keep an Eye on Release Dates and Availability
While Riot has confirmed the first wave of Spirit Blossom skins will start dropping on April 30, exact release dates for the rest of the skins haven’t been finalized. As always, some of these cosmetics will only be around for a limited time, especially those tied to the Season Pass. Players should keep an eye on the in-game shop, official Riot announcements, and seasonal event calendars to stay updated.
