Black Ops 6 Nuketown Return
Nuketown has been a staple in every Black Ops game, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be no exception. This iconic map will be available in the game’s multiplayer mode, and players won’t have to wait long to experience it. Our team have broken down all that our readers need to know about this exciting launch. Keep reading to find out more.
When is Nuketown in Call of Duty 6 being Released?
Nuketown is set to launch in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on November 1, 2024, just a week after the game’s release. This announcement was made on the official Call of Duty X account before the game’s launch. After analysing a teaser trailer, our experts found that it showed Nuketown with a look that feels more in line with the original Black Ops aesthetic, contrasting with the dramatic colour changes introduced in the Black Ops Cold War. The classic colours, design, and details are more reminiscent of the first Black Ops, giving fans a nostalgic return. A full trailer for the map is expected soon, offering a closer look before its release, so watch out for this.
Players may also notice traces of an abandoned Nuketown in the Strike map Warhead. This map contains elements like a bus, houses, and a Nuketown sign, suggesting a failed attempt at recreating the iconic map. However, this setting differs greatly from the actual Nuketown map location, with the Warhead version set in a desert, featuring scattered items.
As with previous Call of Duty titles, it’s likely that Nuketown won’t be the only classic map making a comeback in Black Ops 6. Additional fan-favourite maps are expected to return alongside seasonal content throughout 2025.
