Nadeshot Restructures Salary to Form LA Thieves’ New CDL Dream Team

Nadeshot announces LA Thieves' elite CDL roster, showcasing top talent after slashing his salary for funding.

The rumors have been confirmed, and it’s official: the new Los Angeles Thieves Call of Duty roster is here, and it’s nothing short of formidable! In a thrilling announcement that has sent shockwaves through the esports community, 100 Thieves CEO Matt "Nadeshot" Haag took to Twitter/X to unveil this powerhouse lineup after days of speculation.

Ghosty is set to lead the charge, joining forces with an astonishing trio of current top-tier players to create a true CoD God Squad for Black Ops Season 6. Enter HyDra, who recently clinched a stunning first-place finish in the 2023 CDL season and followed it up with a respectable fourth-place finish while playing for the New York Subliners after joining from France back in 2020. His skills are undeniable.

Then we have Scrappy, the dynamic former Toronto Ultra slayer and 2023 Rookie of the Year, who has made it his mission to chase the CDL championship two years in a row. Now, alongside his new teammates, including the electrifying Envoy, who burst onto the scene in 2020 and has since become a two-time all-star, the competition should brace itself. Both Scrappy and Envoy share a home-town connection in Toronto, yet for Envoy, this marks a triumphant return to Los Angeles, where he previously played for the Thieves for two seasons.

Don’t forget about Ghosty! He’s the lone holdover from the previous LAT squad after they concluded the CDL in seventh place, but he did manage a commendable second-place finish at the eSports World Cup earlier this summer. With this roster of esports superstars, the Thieves are quickly becoming the team to watch and it’s no surprise they’re already being touted as serious contenders to dethrone OpTic Texas for next season’s championship.

However, putting together this dream team didn’t come cheap! Nadeshot revealed during his stream that he had to make some sacrifices personally, sharing that he even had to cut a portion of his own salary "to get these contracts over the line, bro, because we ran out of money." The passion and dedication are palpable!

As the excitement builds for the launch of Black Ops 6 on October 25th, the rest of the CDL rosters are expected to take shape over the coming weeks. The stage is being set for an electrifying season ahead! Are you ready for the action? Let the games begin!
