What is LTA North 2025 Split 2?

LTA North 2025 Split 2 marks the second leg of the competitive League of the Americas (LTA) season. As part of this newly formed league structure, eight top teams will battle it out for a chance to qualify for two of the year’s most prestigious international events: MSI and the Esports World Cup, which will be held this summer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Unlike traditional formats seen in other regions, LTA North 2025 will feature a distinctive three-stage competition model to crown its champion.

When Does Split 2 Begin?

The action officially begins on April 5, 2025. While Riot has not confirmed an exact end date, it’s expected to conclude by late May or early June to align with MSI’s global schedule and roster lock deadlines.

Competition Format Breakdown

The tournament is split into three phases:

  • Stage 1: All eight teams play a single round-robin of best-of-one (Bo1) matches. Based on standings, teams are placed into two balanced groups using a snake draft system.

  • Stage 2: Each group then competes in a single round-robin, but this time using best-of-three (Bo3) series. In Week 7, group winners face off for playoff seeding, while the bottom two teams battle in elimination matches.

  • Stage 3 : Playoffs: Six teams progress to a double-elimination bracket featuring best-of-five (Bo5) series. These matches will use the Hard Fearless Draft format, where a champion can only be picked once by either team throughout the entire series.

The playoff winner will officially secure their spot at both MSI 2025 and the Esports World Cup.
