Following recent leaks hinting at a new mode, it’s now confirmed that Fortnite OG will be returning permanently. The inter-season period between Chapters 4 and 5 was a massive success, prompting Epic Games to explore ways to recreate that nostalgic experience. Although they experimented with “Reload” and “Remix”—the current season that revisits Chapter 2—the reception wasn’t quite the same. Now, however, Epic seems to have pinpointed exactly what players are looking for.

Fortnite OG to Return for Good
Fortnite OG will soon be back permanently, with multiple reliable leakers corroborating the news. While the information comes from an anonymous source, these insiders have verified most of it. According to the leaks, this mode is expected to join other permanent alternatives like Rocket Racing, LEGO, and Festival, standing alongside the main Battle Royale mode, currently in Remix.
Since this mode will be permanent, it will operate on a rotating cycle: Seasons 1 through 10 will return month by month, creating a dynamic experience with rapid changes. As expected, only classic loot will be available in this mode, with a dedicated loot pool separate from the main game’s Battle Royale and Zero Build modes.
Additionally, while Chapter 1 originally had no Zero Build option—relying heavily on building mechanics—Epic has adapted this new mode to offer both building and Zero Build options, ensuring more choice for all players.
An official announcement is expected soon, either at the Finale event or the Game Awards. According to the leaks, the mode will likely debut in December, giving Epic just a few weeks to confirm the news. While these are technically still leaks and might not be 100% accurate, the amount of information pointing to Fortnite OG’s return makes this exciting news seem very likely.
