LoL Patch 25.S1.3 – Updates to Swiftplay and ARAM

The 2025 season has been live for nearly a month, and the response has generally been positive. While there were some initial complaints about Feats of Strength, which was recently reworked, the gameplay has become increasingly skirmish-heavy, with teams often contesting objectives. Although the game can feel snow bally at times, no major game-breaking issues have surfaced.

Even Mel, who launched in an overpowered state, was toned down with a quick micro patch. Her win rate has now dropped to around 50%, but more time is needed to assess her true balance.

Champion diversity appears healthy, with pick rates spread across various champions and elos. The current meta favors synergizing team compositions, overexploiting specific champions, which benefits professional play. For more news on League of Legends, click here.

Champion and Item Changes in Patch 25.S1.3

In the patch preview, Riot Phroxzon explained that no further adjustments to Mel are needed in this patch, as she’s considered to be in a solid state. However, damaging support items are being nerfed, and the attack speed cap will be raised to 3.0, up from the previous limit of 2.5.

Bounties are also being adjusted for players who become exceptionally fed on a losing team, making comebacks more viable. Additionally, two dragon souls (Cloud Soul and Chemtech Soul) are receiving changes. Full details on the champion and item changes, as well as Swiftplay modifications, will be provided once numbers are finalized.

Patch 25.S1.3 Release Date

ARAM Changes

There are several adjustments for ARAM in this patch, including changes to Ashe, Zilean, and the Statikk Shiv item. For example, Ashe’s W cooldown is being adjusted to 18–14 seconds.
