Fortnite just wrapped up its end-of-season event, and it was a little different from what fans expected. Instead of a big lore reveal or a showdown with Doctor Doom, players got a surprise introduction to Snoop Dogg and a Fortnite Ice Spice skin!
Kicking off the new “Chapter 2 Remix Prelude,” players landed at the Restored Reels to find a virtual stage set up in what looked like Times Square. Both Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice performed a few songs, followed by a teaser trailer for Fortnite Remix—a fresh take on Chapter 2, featuring new spins on classic Fortnite locations dominated by these iconic musicians.
This season, instead of familiar characters like Midas taking control of key locations, musicians like Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice will bring their own style to the map. However, the Fortnite Ice Spice skin and her themed location won’t be available at launch. Players will need to wait a bit longer to see these updates.
Fortnite Ice Spice Skin Release
The Remix update brings musicians into the Chapter 2 map, with skins and points of interest (POIs) arriving in stages. Among the most anticipated is the Fortnite Ice Spice skin.
After her performance in the live event, fans are now looking forward to her skin becoming available. The Ice Spice skin won’t be unlocked until Week 3 of Fortnite Remix, meaning players will need to wait until the first two weeks wrap up.
There are two distinct styles for her skin: the classic Ice Spice look, and an alternative “Rap Princess Ice Spice” outfit. Both will feature in-game, and she’ll also have her own area on the map.
Ice Spice is set to take over “The Shark” POI from Chapter 2, with a fresh redesign to match her aesthetic. Although it may not impact gameplay in tournaments or competitive events, it will add a unique twist to the Fortnite Remix map, making it feel quite different from the original Chapter 2.
